[HW 2.2d] Assumption Filter

In a financial model, it’s important to be able to identify any hard coded inputs.  Ideally, these inputs should be in the “Assumptions” section, and should be formatted as blue italics.  The blue is so that it’s easy to see on the screen and the italics are so they are easy to identify on paper, when printed from a black and white printer.

Write a macro which identifies each cell in a range and tests whether the cell value is a number or a date.

  • If the cell has a hard coded date or number, format the cell as blue italics.
  • If the cell has a formula, turn it black, without italics.

This page might be helpful in testing whether a cell has a formula.
